We booked a full day of climbing for our daughter and a half day for my husband and myself. Ian was our guide, and was very good at explaining as much or as little as we wanted to learn! He pushed us appropriately to go a little beyond our comfort zone while at the same time challenging our much more experienced daughter and teaching her a variety of new skills and techniques. He was a great teacher, very personable, and clearly had a passion for sharing his skills. We also respected his general regard for safety of all climbers out there that day, not just the 3 of us in his care. All-around great experience!

Loved it! Did two days with two guides, and both were incredible (David and Andy). Will be back very soon!

Me and my girlfriend did the gym to crag class with Ian. He’s a good guy to be around, great instructor, and passionate about what he does. I went from kind of knowing how to clean a route in a disorganized/cluttered way to having a nearly automated, consistent routine.

I had also only lead climbed a few bolts in the past and my gf had only belayed for top rope. Ian was able to give her the oversight necessary to get her confidently belaying me while I lead which is exactly what I hoped to get out of the day.

David was awesome. Very good personality and very patient guide. We always felt safe and felt like David genuinely wanted us to succeed.

Alex did a great job guiding our family and patiently teaching and encouraging a bunch of first time rock climbers!

Had such a fantastic time climbing today with Alex. He brought us to a less traveled spot at 1st with harder routes that challenged us, then we headed over to some fun ones and really couldn't of had a better day. 1st time lead climbing officially. Thanks Alex!

Had the most amazing experience with Red River Climbing Guides. I had a trip planned with a group of 8 others and reached out to a number of guide companies in the area. Matt's professionalism and his ability to cater to our exact needs helped inform my decision. Leading up to our guide day the guides (Ian and David, both phenomenal) made contact and checked in with the needs of our group. It was great that we were able to have two guides for our large group. Day of nothing could have been better. They managed to make everyone happy and satisfied from those who had never climbed outside before to those with lots of experience. Everyone learned lots and the extra knowledge increased the enjoyment for the rest of our trip tenfold. While staying professional and making sure we got the most out of the time the guys were still awesome to have around the whole day and really made it fun. As a group that splurged on this to begin with we had zero hesitation further splurging on a tip for these guys. I could not recommend enough.

This was our first time climbing outdoors and we had a blast! David was an awesome guide and had answers to all of our questions, he was especially good at making sure we had hands on experience before moving to the actual wall. I felt safe the whole time and learned much much more than I was expecting to, thanks for the great experience!

Simon was a great guide and very supportive of everyone in our group - all of which were beginner climbers. Kids did amazing!

Went climbing in the gorge, first time climbing outside after a lot of work in the climbing gym. Our guide Matt found good routes that pushed us but were still manageable. He answered all of our questions and was knowledgeable. Would recommend for all skill levels trying to get into outdoor climbing.

Absolutely the BEST experience!! We have 3 small kids (ages 5, 9, and 11) and none of us had ever rock climbed before. Matt was patient and informative, we learned so much and had a BLAST!! Such a feeling of accomplishment and fun for the whole family. Highly recommend, two thumbs up!
