Bowling:
If the weather isn’t cooperating and the cliffs are too slippery for rock climbing, head over to the Lee County Recreation Center and bowl a few rounds! If bowling isn’t your thing and you just really need to climb something, they have a bouldering area to keep your fitness up for the climbing project.

Kentucky Bourbon Trail:
Okay so maybe you can’t do the whole thing in a day, but there are some great bourbon distilleries near the Red River Gorge to warrant a rainy-day excursion.

Underground Kayaking:
At The Gorge Underground, you can still get some exercise on those wet days without getting soaked or driving too far. Underground kayaking is a great way to spend the day with the family when being above ground isn’t an option.
