Land of the Arches Campground:

As the location of Rocktoberfest each year, this campground is centrally located and has a host of amenities, including running water, Wi-Fi, RV hookups, rooms for rent, and a pavilion with a sink that has running water for cooking and doing dishes. The owner, Dave is a great guy and will bend your ear with all kinds of interesting stories!

Callie’s Lake and Campground:

Located on 50 acres near the town of Stanton, this campground is just a stones throw from all the Red River Gorge has to offer. They offer RV hookups, fire rings, level sites, karaoke, and a country store on site. 

Lago Linda Hideaway:

Set back almost a mile from the main road on its own private drive, Lago Linda Hideaway provides security and privacy for its campers in a gorgeous setting. Each site has its own city water, picnic table, and fire ring, with wifi access for some sites near a centrally located office. In addition, a large, grassy meadow provides ample overflow camping for tent and car campers, including a big, covered, cooking pavilion with electricity along with another covered area that provides additional shelter for several tents.

Koomer Ridge Campground:

This is a state run campground and has a more manicured feel. features semi-primitive camping in a tranquil forest setting. They have shower houses, fire rings, picnic tables, water access, rv hookups, and camping sites that are graveled and level. The campground provides access to trails in the Red River Gorge directly from the grounds. Great for the early morning hikers that like to wake up and go for a jaunt in the cool morning air.

Cabins

Airbnb & Vrbo:

Both sites have a multitude of options in the area and that number is on the rise, so both websites are great options for finding exactly what you want out of your vacation rental.  With photos of the properties, listings of amenities, and great customer support, these two websites are an excellent choice for vacationing in the area.

Cliffview Resort/Red River Gorge Cabin Rentals:

Probably the most upscale cabins in the area, their lodgings and event spaces blend the benefits of modern conveniences with the scenic views and serenity of Eastern Kentucky. From corporate retreats, to extraordinary weddings, and romantic weekend getaways, Cliffview Resort can fit the bill. Also affiliated with Red River Gorge Cabin Rentals, they have a massive pool of cabins to choose from.

Sam’s Cabins:

Sam’s is a smaller outfit with only 4 rentals, but if you are looking for the more primitive cabin experience, this is a great place to start. Very close to the Red River Gorge Geological Area, pet friendly, reasonably priced,  and near some great restaurants, Sam’s Cabins are an excellent choice!

Red River Gorgeous Wilderness Cabin Rental:

Cabins of Birch Hollow:

Nestled in the secluded foothills of the Appalachian Range, with romantic hot tubs on 300 private acres of serene forest and just 10 minutes from the Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Resort Park, you can’t go wrong with these folks; but book early because they fill up fast!

Natural Bridge State Resort Park:

Make the most of your trip to the Red River Gorge in Kentucky with Natural Bridge cottage rentals or delight in the mountainside beauty of Hemlock Lodge, one of 17 state park lodges in Kentucky. The 35 rooms of Hemlock Lodge have private balconies. Open year-round. Rooms are available by late afternoon. Lodge room check-out by 11 a.m., local time. They are now pet friendly. No more than two pets are allowed per room/cottage. The park also has two campgrounds with both improved and primitive sites and two service buildings with showers and restrooms.

Black Bear Lodge Motel:

A quaint lodge-style motel that is centrally located and reasonably priced. If you are looking for clean rooms and comfortable beds but not a lot of extras, this is the place.

Li’l Abner Motel & Cottages:

Clean Rooms and Affordable prices with good Customer Service. Again, not a lot of bells and whistles, but they do have a pool, wifi, outdoor bbq, and kitchenettes. This is a classic motel that has been here since the 70s.

Red River Gorge Inn:

Relax in casual comfort after hiking, climbing, or sightseeing in the beautiful Red River Gorge.
